Glasgow was amazing! One of the best gigs I have ever been to.
Queued up since 12:30pm that day in the freezing cold - but my Golly, it was worth it!
We met the guys minus Alex before the gig, and looked really tired but so excited for the show!
After hours of waiting, I was down at the very front at the barrier!
The first band that came on were Enjoy Destroy and they got the crowd worked up playing their songs 'Screamer' and 'Music To Love You To'. Freddie (the lead singer) is an absolute legend!
Next band were Shibby, and out of all three nights, they saved their energy for Glasgow! Doing two covers that night of +44's 'When Your Heart Stops Beating' and Blink 182's 'Aliens Exist'. The crowd were now ready for the main event.
The lights dimmed and all you could hear was the crowd chanting in two parts the words 'Elliot' and 'Minor'. Their opening song was 'Jessica' and Alex played his violin during it! (I filmed it, it's going on YouTube shortly.) They were interacting with the crowd and invited two girls on stage at 'Time After Time' which got the crowd singing along and hitting every note correctly. The highlight of the night is when they sang my favourite song 'Last Call To New York City' (Alex kept looking at me throughout that song... weird.) But it was beautifully performed.
Shibby joined the lads for thr final chorus of 'Parallel Worlds' which sent the crowd into hysterics!
The final song of the evening was 'Sometimes You Are Wrong' and WOW. The ending was breathtaking. Alex threw his mike stand on the floor and just rocked out like the true star that he is.
We met them afterwards (sixth time for me) and Alex knew my name! (He did in Edinburgh but that's beside the point.) And they thanked us for coming out to the show.
I cannot WAIT until I see them again. :)
